lessons or just enjoy beautiful Montauk.
Bring your bike for a ride to the lighthouse, the harbor or thru
town. Bring your beach
chair to catch the action at Ditch Plains Beach or Kirk Park Beach.
Surfing lessons and rentals are available from Air and Speed.
Learn to Surf
Air
& Speed Surf Camp is back to offer you real surfing instruction by
certified and experienced surfers and watermen. All students, regardless
of experience, will be trained in how to read the surf, paddle out, and
catch and ride a wave unassisted. Naturally, safety is the primary
concern. Students will be schooled in safe water practices and
procedures in the surf. The confidence gained, exercise, fun and
enjoyment are immeasurable!

Arrive Montauk approximately 10:00 am at AIR & SPEED SURFSHOP in Montauk.

Board, bike, wetsuit and beach gear rentals are available from AIR & SPEED SURFSHOP in Montauk. Lesson’s available.

SURFSHOP.

Since the days of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, the image of
floating down a river on a hot summer day has always created a sense of
adventure.
Located
in the heart of the Catskill Mountains is a five-mile stretch of river
that has become one of the most popular tubing courses around. People
come from all over to ride the rapids and drift with the current as the
Esopus Creek winds through the beautiful mountains and greenery of the
Catskills. Esopus Creek is
part of the New York City watershed, and is used to transfer water to
the Ashokan Reservoir by way of the Shandaken Portal. Four times a year,
depending on watershed conditions, the portal is opened wider, providing
higher, faster water for even more exciting tubing!
July 13th and August 31st are some of those
dates.
Trip Details
- Depart Brooklyn at 8:30 am
- Depart Emilio’s Ski Shop at 9:00 am
- Depart New York Pipe Dreams at 9:30 am
- Arrive approximately 12:30 pm.
- Head for the Town Tinker Tube Rental headquarters on Bridge St. in Phoenicia, NY. There the expertly trained Town Tinker staff will rent you all the equipment you need, as well as giving you tubing instructions and safety tips.
- Depart at 5 pm.
